Thank you for your interest in the White Crane Acupuncture Teaching Clinic.
Treatments in the clinic take place in a large open plan space which contains a number of treatment couches.
The idea is that each treatment will provide the opportunity for some or all of the students present to observe and participate in the assessment of each patient and their treatment, as a learning opportunity. In practical terms this means that receiving a treatment at the teaching clinic may involve being observed and sometimes palpated by several students, as well as your treatment being administered by a student, all under the supervision of our highly experienced teaching team.
All students have an existing 3 year Chinese Medicine Diploma in either Shiatsu or Herbal Medicine and relevant insurance. They are studying to add acupuncture to their existing skill set.
The teaching clinic is open on Friday mornings 9:30am – 12:30pm during term times.

The clinic is run by both qualified Shiatsu practitioners and third year Shiatsu Students. Treatments take place in a large open plan space which contains several treatment couches or futons.
To support learning, some treatments will provide the opportunity for students present to observe and participate in the assessment and treatment of each patient. In practical terms this means that receiving a treatment at the teaching clinic may involve being observed and sometimes palpated by students, as well as your treatment being administered by a third year student.
All practitioners and students hold full insurance and membership to the Shiatsu Society UK.
The teaching clinic is open on Friday afternoons 2 – 5pm during term times
