Advanced Point Location and Function – CPD

This 6 day module, delivered over 2 long weekends, will allow you to accurately locate and integrate 200+ acupressure points into your Shiatsu or Acupuncture practice. Using the 6-Division understanding of the Channel system you will explore point location, point selection and key combinations of the major points through palpation and Shiatsu techniques. Accurate use of points can be used to advance both your clinical effectiveness and diagnostic abilities.
Pre-requisites:
- Completion of Shiatsu Diploma or Acupressure training
You will receive:
- Location, function and practical applications of 200+ Acupressure Points
- Six-division model of channel pathways, point selection and key point combinations
- Point categories and function: The art of point selection
- The use of diverse points in palpatory diagnosis
The syllabus:
Tuition will be delivered by 2 experienced practitioners trained in Shiatsu and Acupuncture. Creative case studies and experiential exercises will be used to bring point selection and channel pathology alive. You will have an opportunity to work both directly on the skin and through clothing, suiting both Acupuncturists and Shiatsu practitioners needs
Point location, function and selection:
- 200+ Points including
- Well, Spring, River, Sea, Gathering and Command points
- Back Shu, Front Mu, yuan-source and xi-cleft points
- revision of TCM based theory
- 6-division understanding of the Channel system and point selection
Application to your Shiatsu practice
- Creative case study based learning to bring the function of points alive
- Experiential exercises which allow us to feeling the physiology and pathology of the 6-division channel system
- Use of Shu, Bo, Yuan source and Xi-cleft points as diagnostic tools
Regular feedback and Teacher support
- Excellent student / teacher ratio with 2 teachers and class assistants

Final Examination
- For those wishing to gain access to the Acupuncture Diploma course a final exam will be held on 29th July
